The Board of PJSC Donbasenergo notifies you that the main equipment failure occurred at Power Unit 7 of Sloviansk TPP on January 17, 2021. It happened as a result of the increased vibration of the first bearing of the turbine unit; this led to an emergency shutdown of the power unit from the Ukrainian power grid.
Soon, repairs will begin at Sloviansk TPP, and Donbasenergo expects to complete them within 50 to 60 days.
Throughout Q4 2020 and into early 2021, the plant had an increased load due to the shift in repair campaigns at the nuclear power plant.
At present, Sloviansk TPP has Power Unit 3 running with a 59 MW load.
For reference: As of January 01, 2020, 60.86% holder of PJSC Donbasenergo is ENERGOINVEST HOLDING Private Joint Stock Company, 25% + 1 share are held by the state represented by the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
