Unit No. 6 of Slaviansk TPP
RECONSTRUCTION

and Installation of CFB boilers

FORECASTED COST

17 500 mln UAH (VAT excluded)

PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION PERIOD

2013-2024

PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT

The reconstruction project of power unit no. 6 with division into power units nos. 6B and 6A of 330 MW capacity each will provide an increase in the installed capacity of Slavianskaya TPP by 660 MW and will cover the existing shortage of capacity in the region; it will also enable the production of clean electricity in accordance with the European environmental standards

Implementation of the project will also allow:

  • to increase the production and supply of electricity;
  • to burn low-grade, low-calorie coals and waste coal without illumination with natural gas in the load range of 50-100%;
  • to meet the requirements of ENTSO-E for regulation of frequency and power;
  • to extend the station operation capacity by 40 years;
  • to maintain and to develop related industries, including engineering.

SCOPE OF
RECONSTRUCTION

Installation of CFB boilers and condensing steam turbines with auxiliary equipment of boiler and turbine divisions, generators with thyristor excitation system

The project also provides for:

  • construction of dust collectors;
  • reconstruction of ORU-330 kV;
  • reconstruction of the external system of bottom ash and fly ash;
  • construction of the ash dump;
  • reconstruction of facilities for solid fuels;
  • construction of limestone preparation system;
  • reconstruction of technical water supply system;
  • creation of a full-scale automation systems and installation of electro-hydraulic turbine control system at each of the power units at stations 6a and 6b;
  • reconstruction of the main building;
  • fire protection, engineering and technical measures of civil protection, occupational health and industrial safety measures.

  • Ecology
    • Reducing emissions is 2 times lower than the existing regulations without costly special construction systems sulfur- and nitrogen cleaning up
    • The possibility of recycling 100% of waste ash, it retsinklinga organization and its application in the construction industry. Ukraine's first pneumatic external ash removal system
    • As a result of the reconstruction project №6 Slavic TPP unit, the power system of Ukraine will receive not only the additional 660 MW maneuvering capacities, but also the most economical and appropriate environmental standards of the European Union CHP unit.

  • Ecology
    • Cleaning flue gas from dust produced in modern high-performance electrostatic precipitators
    • CFB technology reduces NOx and SO2 emissions without expensive special construction systems sulfur- and nitrogen removal by:
    • - Srednetopochnoy low temperature in the range 860-920 ° C;
      - Binding of sulfur limestone is added to the furnace.
    • CFB ash can be used for the production of thermal insulation materials and small-piece products
