The St. Spiridon's Temple construction realities
26-05-2021

18.6 meters: the final brick of St. Spiridon's Temple will be laid at this height.

The distinct atmosphere that already exists within the walls of the building fascinates. Bells will soon sound here, and parishioners will be able to attend services while feeling a special harmony.

The construction site is in full swing to ensure that this happens as soon as possible:

  • The apsis and altar trusses have already been installed
  • A spiral staircase reaching straight under the dome is built in the bell tower.
  • The temple roof trusses' metal structures have been placed, and work on treating them for corrosion and fire resistance is underway
  • The octagons, i.e. the octagonal bases of the bell tower and central dome drums, are being erected.

The wall thickness is 670 mm. The interior of the structure is still being constructed.

The Mykolaivka community will soon be able to visit St. Spiridon's Temple. This way, day by day, brick by brick, not just a church is being built, but a new page of Mykolaivka's history is being written!
