During the last month, Donbassenergo's two important management systems – in the field of quality management and environment – were certified in accordance with the requirements of international standards.

On 23 June, independent auditors, representatives of the certification authority, officially confirmed, at the final meeting, successful certification audit of Donbassenergo's quality management system (QMS). As early as this coming August, the Company will receive a certificate of QMS compliance with ISO 9001:2015 international standard issued by a prestigious certification authority accredited in the national system of the UK, UKAS. It is to be recalled that the work on the introduction of the quality management system and its preparation for certification in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 was started by Donbassenergo last summer.

On 7 July, independent auditors confirmed that in the course of the certification audit of the environmental management system (EMS), which took place at Slavianskaya TPP, in Teploelektroproekt institute and in the administration of Donbassenergo, no non-conformances to ISO 14001:2015 were found. At the final meeting, representatives of the certification authority highlighted high interest of Donbassenergo in the positive result, which ensured the success of the joint work. Promptness in providing information, including the information on the eliminated potential inconsistencies, a high level of staff’s knowledge and, most importantly, understanding of the principles and mechanisms of the EMS and own role in ensuring the functioning of the management system, the condition of the facilities in the territory of the plant – all this became a convincing basis for a positive opinion of the auditors.

Earlier, Donbassenergo adopted the Environmental Policy and Quality Policy. These documents became a declaration of the Company’s mission and goals in two strategic business areas – increasing environmental responsibility and minimizing the impact of production on the natural potential of the region of presence, ensuring the quality of the generated electricity and managing all generation-related processes.
